Scott Dozier was a convicted murderer who was sentenced to death in Nevada for the 2002 murder of 22-year-old Jeremiah Miller. Dozier was found guilty of killing Miller and then dismembering his body before disposing of it in the desert.
Throughout his trial and the subsequent appeals process, Dozier maintained his innocence and claimed that he was framed for the crime. However, prosecutors presented evidence linking Dozier to the murder, including DNA evidence and witness testimony.
Despite his claims of innocence, Dozier waived his right to further appeals and requested to be executed. He was found dead in his prison cell in January 2019, having committed suicide. Some believe that Dozier may have been innocent and could have been wrongly convicted, but others maintain that he was guilty of the crime.
